Introducing the StreetEasy Neighborhood Experts Program

As anyone who has bought or sold a home in New York City knows, this real estate market is incredibly complex. Not only can apartments list and sell within a matter of days, but neighborhoods and buildings have their own unique qualities, price points, and personalities, all of which can change by walking one block – or building – in any direction.

To help navigate these nuances, today, we are excited to introduce the StreetEasy Neighborhood Experts program, a new advertising program for real estate agents that will help home shoppers and sellers quickly connect with real estate agents who have proven experience buying and selling in a particular neighborhood, or group of neighborhoods. The program will officially launch on StreetEasy in early December.

How does it work?

At launch, Neighborhood Experts will be available for nearly 300 neighborhoods across all five boroughs. To become a Neighborhood Expert, an agent must have at least two buy- or sell-side transactions in the last three years within the neighborhood of interest (verified by StreetEasy). Agents who qualify will appear in a new contact box across various building pages within the neighborhood they’re advertising in. The contact box will also display the volume of deals or listings they have in a neighborhood.

With Neighborhood Experts, StreetEasy users will be one click away from connecting with agents who have verified buying or selling experience in the neighborhood of their interest. For agents, you’re now able to further build a personal brand on StreetEasy and target your marketing efforts to reach prospective buyers and sellers whose needs match your areas of expertise. It’s a win-win.

For those familiar, this program is an extension of StreetEasy’s Building Experts program, which launched earlier this year and highlights agent’s experience in a specific building rather than across an entire neighborhood.

There are a couple of options to find out more about the program:

  • Schedule a visit from the StreetEasy Experts sales team: A sales consultant from the StreetEasy team can come to your brokerage to answer questions, and review the program and participation options that you (or your team) qualify for.   • Look out for an email: Agents who are registered with StreetEasy and have claimed their deals will be notified of the neighborhood(s) they qualify for via email in the coming weeks.
  • Coming soon! View your personal dashboard: After the program rolls out in December, agents will be able to view a list of all the areas they qualify for by logging into their StreetEasy account and clicking on the new ‘StreetEasy Experts’ tab at the top of the page (replacing the Building Experts tab).
