Upper West Side

Over the last few decades, the Upper West Side has been romanticized and immortalized in both movies and music. The fashionable tree-lined streets, upscale restaurants and trendy bars are second in allure and reputation only to the luxurious apartments, co-ops and townhouses associated with the area. The Upper West Side, primarily a residential and shopping area, is bounded on the south by 59th Street, Central Park to the east, and the Hudson River to the west. Its northern boundary is somewhat less obvious. Although it has historically been cited as 110th Street, which fixes the neighborhood alongside Central Park, it is now often considered to be 125th Street. Landmarks such as the Museum of Natural History and the Hayden Planetarium contribute to the culture and charm of this neighborhood. Lincoln Center, which has become significantly more accessible after the $53 million renovations to the 72nd Street subway, is the largest performing arts complex in the world, and reinforces the area as a cultural center. The fantastic properties with park and river views, tend to be some of the most sought-after residences in Manhattan.
